Grieving the loss of a sister

is not easy for Lennie as she and her sister were so close, shared a room, and made up stories about their mom who abandoned them when they were little. The Sky is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson is the story of loss, love and the toll that grieving takes on everyone who was close to the person they lost. Lennie's sister was 19 and living the life of a young adult who loves life. Lennie lived in her shadows until she died, then Lennie began having feelings for her sister's boyfriend and the musical wonderful boy who fell in love with her. Love triangles never work and this one will almost destroy all of them.
I almost never go to bed with a book on my brain, but this one kept my mind occupied for a good part of my nighttime hours. It has it all- love, loss, sadness, romance, music, fun, family and a bit of intrigue. The twists and turns, heartbreaking losses and the choices might just keep you awake as well. A definite read for any reader with a heart!!
